Insurance Policy

Nutrition & Exercise "Works" is a fee for service practice; however, we make it easy for our clients to file for reimbursement of fees by providing all the completed insurance forms with each visit.

Clients should verify with their insurance carriers but in most cases, health insurances do not cover weight management.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company

Call the member service number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

1. Do I have benefits for nutrition counseling?

2. Do I have to see an in-network provider to use my nutrition benefits?

3. Does it cover my diagnosis? (for example, weight reduction, bariatric surgery, diabetes, etc.)

4. Do I have a deductible? How much is it and what is covered after the deductible is met?

5. Do I need a referral from my doctor?

6. How many appointments do I get a year?

7. What is my co-pay to see the dietitian?
